Jumping two spots from last year's rankings are the Ottawa Senators.

After cracking the postseason for the first time in eight years, the Sens are entering the prime of their core players, with most of the organization's future having already made the jump to the NHL lineup.

While their pool lacks star power at forward, Steve Staios and his front office have collected multiple high-upside blueliners with offensive gifts and a few promising goaltenders in the pipeline.

The selection of Logan Hensler at the draft in June added much-needed quality at the top end of the pool, while the bottom half of the rankings has seen significant changes due to trades and diverging player development.
