Elite Prospects 2025 NHL Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 3-ranked Utah Mammoth

The Utah Mammoth are living up to their name in the most literal sense possible. Rising from 5th to 3rd in this year's prospect rankings, Utah has built a collection of players that would make a Mammoth proud.

Need proof? Try 6'5" Dmitri Simashev, 6'6" Daniil But, 6'6" Michael Hrabal, and 6'7" Maveric Lamoureux on for size. While losing Josh Doan in the JJ Peterka trade was the biggest loss from 2024 to 2025, much of their prospect pool remains intact, with the addition of Caleb Desnoyers down the middle serving as the headline.

Utah is looking to make a playoff splash, and they have the depth and upside in their pool to build around a strong core. The name of the game here is tenacity and pure annoyance, qualities this system has in spades.
