QMJHL Cup standouts: Alexis Joseph, Malik L’Italien and more shine in best-on-best tournament

The QMJHL Cup is a perfect opportunity for 15-year-olds to make a name for themselves, and this year was no exception.

In an invitational tournament held less than two months before the QMJHL draft, prospects are split into four teams and pitted against each other as rows and rows of scouts look on from the stands. Prospects play to their strengths, the hockey is physical, and the stakes are high. Perform well, and you can see your name picked in the first round 

Team Daigle ended up winning the honours in a tight final bout against Team Savage, with top-three candidates James Scantlebury and Malik L’Italien playing a major role. Team Talbot, led by potential number 1 selection Alexis Joseph, finished third with their win on Sunday afternoon against Team Bergeron.
