Aleksi Heponiemi called up to NHL – will play for Florida Panthers

Aleksi Heponiemi, 23, is leaving the Charlotte Checkers and moving up to play in the NHL for the Florida Panthers, according to the team's Twitter account.
Heponiemi weighs 154 lbs and is 5'10". He played on the youth club for Ilves.
He played his latest season for the Charlotte Checkers, nyttjas oftast som center and wing and made nine goals and 39 points in 56 games in the AHL.
