Aleksi Heponiemi sent to AHL – will play for Charlotte Checkers

The Florida Panthers have reassigned Aleksi Heponiemi, 23, to the Charlotte Checkers, according to the team's homepage.
Heponiemi is 5'10" and weighs 154 lbs. He played on the youth club for Ilves.
He scored nine goals and 40 points in 69 games for the Charlotte Checkers and the Florida Panthers last season.
