Former Charlotte Checkers player finds new home: will play in Russia

According to the team's homepage, German Rubtsov, 24, of the Charlotte Checkers, will now play for the Spartak Moskva.
Rubtsov is 6'0" and weighs 187 lbs. He played on the youth team for Vityaz Podolsk.
The forward scored three goals in 43 games last year with the the Charlotte Checkers and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
German Rubtsov is the 40th player to be rostered for Spartak Moskva before this season. The Spartak Moskva have added Alexei Lipanov, Maxim Krovyakov, and Pavel Kukshtel, among others in the past month.
