Former Springfield Thunderbirds player set to play for Iowa Wild

Mitchell Balmas, 24, of the Springfield Thunderbirds, will now play for the Iowa Wild, according to the team's homepage.
Balmas is 6'0" and weighs 192 lbs. He first played for Sydney MHA.
He scored 21 goals and 42 points in 45 games for the Saint Mary's University, the Springfield Thunderbirds and the Worcester Railers last season.
Mitchell Balmas is the 16th player to be rostered for Iowa Wild before this season. The Iowa Wild have added Patrick Curry, Kevin Conley, and Mike O'Leary, among others in the past month.
