Matt Kiersted called up to play for Florida Panthers

Matt Kiersted, 23, will leave the farm team and get a shot in the NHL with the Florida Panthers, according to the team's Twitter account.
Kiersted weighs 181 lbs and is 6'0".
He played his latest season for the Charlotte Checkers, and made two goals and 13 points in 27 games in the AHL.
