Nick Blankenburg extends contract with Columbus Blue Jackets

Nick Blankenburg, 24, of the Columbus Blue Jackets will play two more seasons with the club, according to nhl.com.
Blankenburg is 5'9" and weighs 174 lbs.
The defenseman scored 15 goals in 49 games last year with the the Columbus Blue Jackets, the University of Michigan and the national team.
Nick Blankenburg is the 25th player to be rostered for Columbus Blue Jackets before this season. The Columbus Blue Jackets have added Johnny Gaudreau, Erik Gudbranson, and Denton Mateychuk, among others in the past month.
