Vitek Vanecek called up to play for Washington Capitals

Vitek Vanecek, 26, is leaving the Hershey Bears and moving up to play in the NHL for the Washington Capitals, according to the team's Twitter account.
Vanecek weighs 187 lbs and is 6'1". He played on the youth team for HC Havlickuv Brod.
Last season in AHL and NHL, the goaltender had a save percentage of .915 over 25 games with the Hershey Bears and the Washington Capitals.
