Meet the Team: Sweden's roster for the 2026 World Juniors

Sweden fell short of a medal last year after overtime losses and in both the semifinal and in the bronze medal game.
In this year’s tournament Sweden will, again, go in as a team that should be able to compete for the grand prize. It’s a star-heavy team among the forward group with many players that have good seasons at the pro level to show for it. While their defensive core is not as strong, they have two goalies who have been among the best netminders in HockeyAllsvenskan this fall.
The roster
Sweden’s 2006-born age group hasn’t been loaded with talent, and there are few returning players from last year's World Juniors. Sweden will still have some of the most highly touted players born in 2007 and 2008 representing, which makes them a very interesting team to watch.
