Meet the Team: Switzerland's roster for the 2026 World Juniors

When it comes to World Junior power rankings, the conversation starts with Canada, the United States, and Sweden. Finland has always been up there with the best, and Czechia has closed the gap to those top three in recent years. Just outside that inner circle sits Switzerland – often one of the first names mentioned among the “best of the rest”. 

Since 1996, Switzerland has only been relegated from the top division once. A third-place finish in ‘98 is the country’s biggest achievement at the tournament to date. More recent successes include a fourth place in 2019 and a second place in group play in 2020. 

More often than not, however, Switzerland fights relegation, and this year will be no different – even though a single win could change everything.
