Adam Benák, Marcus Nordmark lead standouts from U20 Five Nations in Espoo

ESPOO, Finland – The World Junior Summer Showcase in late July is the first preparation tournament for the upcoming World Juniors, but the Five Nations tournament in late August finally sees Czechia, Slovakia and Switzerland enter the discussion, as Sweden and Finland shuffle their decks from August in search of a winning combination.

And it worked for one team. While Czechia, Slovakia, and Switzerland brought close to their strongest possible teams, Sweden showed their enviable depth by nearly overhauling their entire World Junior Summer Showcase roster and still emerging victorious at the end of the week. Meanwhile, Finland used the tournament to get a closer look at the players in consideration for depth roles for their final roster.
