Renowned for his outright speed, "Cyclone" Taylor is legendary as a junior and as a professional. He played both defense and forward and was the epitomy of the then common 'rover' position. Taylor was a constant scoring threat and an outright winner.
He earned the remarkable distinction of being named to the First All-Star Team everywhere he played from 1900 to 1918. Elected a charter member of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame and named to the British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame, he was given the distinct honour of turning the sod for construction of the Hockey Hall of Fame that opened in 1961.
Grandson: Mark Taylor
Great Grandson: Trevor Cox
