Tychkin flings himself to the deep end on every challenge, often meeting shooters at or even past the hashmarks. This works especially well in the MHL, as puck carriers seem to freeze in thought, trying to process whether the object appears closer than it is. Those who can react on the fly to his aggressive style and try to maneuver around him face another problem: his high-end backskating ability, which allows him to follow the carrier while giving them nothing when crashing.
