Daxon Parham Biography and Trivia
Daxon Parham #16 (F, R, 5’6″, 125, Eaglebrook PS, 11/28/2011) – Daxon is a forward we are well familiar with, as he makes his presence known at every summer hockey event we’ve seen over the past two seasons. He is a late birth year player at this age level and, although he may be a bit undersized, he plays with a plucky attitude and always seems to be around the puck. He possesses the puck with confidence and a smooth ability to maneuver around bigger defenders and catch them off balance. We also appreciate his ability to hunt pucks on the forecheck; he was a weapon for his team on the penalty kill as he created several steals with pure moxie. He was consistently dangerous when he wheeled across the top circles, and he showed good vision to distribute a slick pass to the far post that nearly led to a goal. His smooth hands allow him to create chances in tight, and he scored twice in this game on Saturday morning. The first tally came with a backhand goal over the pad, and he would score again on the back door with a quick catch-and-shoot play. He ultimately was not selected to advance to the All-Star Game, but we felt he was one of the players on the bubble. Next season, with another year to get bigger and stronger, we could see him having an even bigger impact at this camp.
