Eric Blum is an undersized offensive defenseman. A fast skater with tremendous foot speed, who loves to join the rush. Blum plays a very good first pass and is able to send his forwards with long outlet passes on breakaways. Can guide a power play and owns a decent shot with a quick release. The diminutive defenseman avoids contact and usually uses a quick stick along the boards to gain puck possession.
