Ken Stickney Facts
Kenneth 'Ken' Stickney and his father Hank were best known as minor league baseball team owners. They were awarded an IHL expansion franchise, the Las Vegas Thunder, for $2 million in February 1993.
He was the Chairman of the holding company that owned the Kloten Flyers, before buying the Lausanne HC from Hugh Quennec. He was the chairman of the holding company (2016 - Lausanne Hockey Holding SA / 2018 - Swiss Entertainment Company SA) that owned the Lausanne HC after Bill Gallacher became its principal owner through Audible Capital Corporation. His involved with Lausanne HC came to an end after Gallacher sold the Swiss holding company to Zdenek Bakala, Gregory Finger and Petr Svoboda in order to cover the debts his companies had accrued. It is unclear how much Stickney owned of the Swiss holding company, whether he had been bought out by Gallacher following his departure from Kloten, but according to court files related to the bankruptcies of Gallachers companies, Gallacher was the owner, while Stickey administered the company for him.
