Bobby LeRoy Gilbert assumed the management responsibilities of the family firm in 1968, after having worked for the company from 1957. The family sold the company, Tulsa Tiling Service, in 1973, after which Gilbert acquired a franchise in the Central Hockey League, the Tulsa Oilers. He sold the team in 1980.

Gilbert died in March 27, 2007.
