Lawrence Zicklin Facts
Lawrence 'Larry' Zicklin was briefly the owner of an AHL franchise, the New Haven Nighthawks, after he acquired it with Mario Gabelli and Peter Shipman from Bruce McNall, the owner of the previous NHL affiliate, the Los Angeles Kings, for $600 000 in July 1991. After operating franchise one year independently, they affiliated the franchise with the Ottawa Senators and renamed it the New Haven Senators. They sold the franchise to Bruce Firestone, the owner of the Ottawa Senators, on April 11, 1993.
