He became the majority owner of Springfield Falcons when the Falcons Hockey Entertainment, LLC acquired the franchise from Springfield Pro Hockey on December 21, 2010. He became the sole owner of the AHL franchise when Bruce Landon opted resign as the President and sell his minority stake to Pompea. He sold the franchise to the Arizona Coyotes on May 11, 2016.
