James T. Sutherland after coaching the Kingston Frontenacs became a member of the Ontario Hockey Association and later its president from 1915 to 1918. He was also responsible for the creation of the Memorial Cup and the International Ice Hockey Hall of Fame. Sutherland was inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame in the Builder category in 1947. He passed away on September 30, 1955.
