Elite Prospects Notes and Trivia

Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi, best known as HJK, operated a hockey team from the late 1920s to the early 1970s. Increasing costs of running a competitive hockey team at the top level led the club to focus solely on football. The newly created hockey club, Helsingin Jääkiekkoklubi, first attempted a merger with Karhu-Kissat in 1972-73, but opted to part ways for the following season.
