Owen Elgbacka: U16AA Highlights Showcasing Elite Talent
From the beginning til now... Who knows where Owen's limit is My name is Owen Elgbacka, I’m a 15-year-old hockey player from Guelph, ON, currently playing U16AA for the Guelph Jr Gryphons. I play either side of the ice on Defence and used in specialist situations as a Forward I know being in AA, some will immediately look down on that but I have many people who strongly feel that's not where I belong. And I don't just mean my mom thinks I'm the best ever. I think my recent "Golden Ticket" selection to the 2026 Prospects By Sports Illustrated, Pre-Draft Showcase tournament, is also testament to what I can do. I have been invited to other showcase events next spring and I look forward to connecting with many scouts, coaches and advisors at those events.
