Erik Karlsson's three-point night gave him 54 career three-point games as a defenseman, tying Nicklas Lidström for 10th in NHL history. His first assist was a zone-to-zone pass to set up Anthony Mantha and his second assisted Elmer Söderblom for his first goal as a Penguin, converting on the rebound of Connor Dewar's redirection at the left side of the crease. He finished it off with a goal in the middle of second period.
