Mika Zibanejad kept his strong stretch of play going with a power play goal to pull the Rangers within one. Lafreniere sent a cross-ice pass to Zibanejad in the left circle, where he scored with a one-timer. Adam Fox picked up an assist, finishing with two on the night. Despite the effort, the Rangers were eliminated from playoff contention on the night, missing the postseason for a second consecutive spring.
