Back in the lineup after missing 15 games with a lower-body injury sustained at the Milan Olympics, Rantanen wasted no time reestablishing Dallas's top power-play unit. He and Robertson assisted on each other's goals in a three-minute span in the second period — Robertson finishing his for his 40th of the season, then Rantanen burying a no-look cross-ice feed from Robertson for his own PP tally. Dallas pulled away for a 6–3 win, snapping a four-game skid. Robertson's 40th makes him the third player in Stars/North Stars history with three 40-goal seasons.
