Kane is the seventh player to reach the 1,000-game milestone as a member of the Canucks, and he marked the occasion in style by netting the opening goal to give Vancouver a 1-0 first-period lead in Vegas. Kane became the 16th player this season to play in his 1,000th NHL game — a fitting milestone for a player who grew up in Vancouver and returned to the city via trade with Edmonton ahead of this season.
