With Dallas already up 1-0 on a Matt Duchene power-play goal, rookie Arttu Hyry doubled the lead midway through the first period by capping a slick three-way passing play off the rush — the puck moving through Adam Erne and Jamie Benn before Hyry buried it from the bottom of the right circle. It was Hyry's second NHL goal and his first multi-point game, as he also assisted on Erne's 3-0 deflection in the second.
