Evgeni Malkin delivered a four-point night — hat trick and an assist — with the milestone arriving early in the second: Erik Karlsson measured a pass to Malkin at the right post for a power-play tap-in, his 1,400th career point, making him the 23rd player ever and third active to reach the mark. Crosby's assist on the play brought him to 1,756 career points, passing Steve Yzerman for sole possession of seventh all-time. Malkin's 14th career hat trick was also his first since March 2022.
