Martone's First NHL Goal in OT Lifts Flyers Into Third Place · Apr. 5, 2026

A tightly contested game saw Philly open the scoring 4:19 into the first on a Christian Dvorak goal set up by a deft touch pass from 19-year-old rookie Porter Martone, before Boston's Pavel Zacha tied it early in the third on a power play. The Flyers couldn't find a winner through 60 minutes, but Martone wouldn't be denied — on a 5-on-3 in overtime, he jammed home his own rebound off a Dvorak feed 2:31 in, vaulting Philadelphia into third place in the Metropolitan Division with five games to play.
