Trevor Zegras led the way with two goals and an assist as Philadelphia cruised past New Jersey 5-1 to shore up their hold on third place in the Metropolitan Division. Zegras struck twice in quick succession early in the second period — including a power-play finish set up by rookie Porter Martone — before adding an assist on Tyson Foerster's goal, giving the Flyers a commanding performance at a critical stage of the regular season.
