Valeri Nichushkin's two-goal night — capped by a between-the-legs shorthanded stunner — powered Colorado to a 3-1 road win in St. Louis, clinching both the Central Division title and the top seed in the Western Conference. It's the third time in five seasons the Avalanche have finished as the West's top team. Martin Necas added his 37th goal, while Scott Wedgewood made 18 saves despite a frightening third-period collision.
