Called up from Laval just hours before puck drop after Noah Dobson suffered an upper-body injury, David Reinbacher made an immediate mark in his NHL debut. The Austrian defenseman, selected by Montreal with the fifth overall pick in the 2023 draft, picked up the secondary assist on Alex Newhook's 3-0 goal — the third of Montreal's remarkable 55-second burst — in 11:17 of ice time. The 21-year-old had posted 24 points in the AHL this season before getting the call.
