With the Ducks needing a win to clinch their first playoff berth since 2018, Vancouver took a 2-1 lead into a scoreless second period — and the third period started Vancouver's way. Brock Boeser's shorthanded goal extended the Canucks' lead to 3-1 before Anaheim rallied to force overtime with two quick goals. Marco Rossi ended it on the power play in OT, denying the Ducks the two points they were desperately chasing and sending the playoff math to Monday night.
