Detroit opened the scoring but Tampa tied it before the first period ended, then surged ahead 3-1 with two second-period goals — only for the Red Wings to storm back and tie it 3-3 late in the third. It took Nikita Kucherov just 27 seconds to end it, joining Brayden Point on a 2-on-1 to counter the winner and send Tampa into sole possession of 2nd in the Atlantic with one game left.
