A back-and-forth second period saw DeBrusk give Vancouver the lead, only for Kempe to tie it 12 seconds later before Los Angeles went ahead 1:13 after that. Zeev Buium levelled again before the halfway mark, and despite being outshot 15-6 in the third, the Canucks held on to force overtime — where Jake DeBrusk stepped up on a feed from Elias Pettersson to give Vancouver the win and a third consecutive victory to close out the season.
