Quillan Nets First NHL Goal to Put Leafs Up 2-0 · Apr. 13, 2026

With Toronto leading 1-0 in the first period at Scotiabank Arena, Jacob Quillan crashed the net on a Steven Lorentz wrap-around attempt, deflecting the puck in off his skate to make it 2-0. A moment of uncertainty — Quillan thought it might get called for kicking — before the goal was confirmed. The 24-year-old undrafted call-up out of Quinnipiac University played 22 games with the Leafs this season after posting 12 goals and 21 assists with the Marlies.
