Despite losing the Wild Card race with Boston's win the day before, Ottawa carried their strong late-season form right through the finish line, outshooting Toronto 38-20 in a commanding 3-1 victory. The Senators kept their foot on the gas even after the Leafs cut the deficit to one in the third, with Dylan Cozens and Shane Pinto putting the game to bed on an empty-net goal with just six seconds remaining. Ottawa heads into the postseason with plenty of momentum.
