The young Panthers defenseman — son of former NHLer Brian Benning — carved his name into the record books twice over in the season finale against Detroit. Benning, who only made his NHL debut in March, potted both the 4-0 and 5-0 goals in the blowout win, giving Florida's injury-depleted roster one of its brightest storylines of an otherwise difficult campaign.
