A game that had everything — a blown two-goal lead, an overturned goal, and a saved penalty shot — was finally settled at 13:53 of the second OT. Martinook, who had his penalty shot stopped by Ullmark in the first overtime, got his revenge when Ehlers fed him in the slot for a wrist shot off the right post. Ottawa had levelled it through Batherson and Cozens after Carolina led 2-0. Series heads to Ottawa with the Hurricanes up 2-0.
