Dallas went up 2-0 in the first period before Minnesota rallied to take a 3-2 lead heading into the third, only for Matt Duchene to level it on the power play with under ten minutes left. Both teams failed to convert in the first overtime before Wyatt Johnston deflected a Miro Heiskanen point shot on a Stars power play 12:10 into double OT to seal a 4-3 win. Dallas scored three of their four goals with the man advantage.
