Down 3-0 in the series, Pittsburgh showed enough fight to force a Game 5 with a 4-2 win over Philadelphia. Crosby opened the scoring with a power-play goal — his first of the series — and Rickard Rakell doubled the lead after a Vladar misplay behind the net. Denver Barkey pulled one back, but Crosby set a textbook screen in the third to free up Letang, whose slap shot through the traffic made it 3-1. Konecny briefly threatened at 3-2, but an empty-netter from Connor Dewar sealed it as Pittsburgh lives to fight another day.
