Oilers Erupt for Three in 7:51 to Force Game 6 · Apr. 28, 2026

Facing elimination in front of their home crowd, the Oilers delivered their most complete performance of the series. Vasily Podkolzin opened the scoring on Edmonton's first shot 2:22 in, and Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl added goals 1:40 apart in the opening period to chase Lukas Dostal before the midway mark of the first — the Oilers' fastest three-goal start to a home playoff game since their 2017 second-round matchup against these same Ducks. Draisaitl added a power-play one-timer in the second for his second of the night, and Connor Ingram was sharp with 29 saves to seal the 4-1 result. Evan Bouchard chipped in three assists, moving into a third-place tie in all-time playoff scoring through 80 games. The Ducks, who lead 3-2, head home for Game 6 Thursday in Anaheim.
