Alex Newhook struck 11:22 into overtime to lift the No. 3-seed Canadiens past the Atlantic Division champion Sabres 3-2 in Game 7 at KeyBank Center. Danault and Bolduc (PPG) built a two-goal cushion before Greenway and Dahlin drew Buffalo level late in the third. Newhook's wrist shot off a Carrier feed closed it out — his second Game 7-winning goal of these playoffs, with Dobes making 37 saves behind him. Montreal advances to face Carolina.
