Carolina got the game-tying goal from Jordan Staal before Andrei Svechnikov took over with two power-play goals — a second-period snap shot from the left circle and a third-period tap-in off a Nikolaj Ehlers spin-o-rama — to put the game away. Ehlers finished with three assists on the night. Svechnikov had just one goal entering Game 5. Pavel Dorofeyev scored twice for Vegas, but the Golden Knights were undone by penalties and a dominant Brandon Bussi, who made 23 saves in his second straight Cup Final start. Carolina leads 3-2 heading to Vegas for Game 6.
