Nicolas Roth's Elite Goal: Elite Skills & Smart Reads
Elite defensive read and puck skills leading to a beautiful goal. Nicolas, playing LD, reads the play well in the defensive zone and anticipates the puck after the opposing defenseman rims it along the boards. He quickly intercepts it and uses a deceptive fake on the forechecking forward before carrying the puck into the offensive zone. He beats the first defender with a one-handed deke, maintains control through the second defender and finishes the individual effort with a precise shot just past the goalie’s head for a beautiful goal.
