Capitals keep on winning

It was smooth sailing for the Washington Capitals in the NHL as they claimed another victory on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Flyers, making it four in a row. They won 9-2 (3-1, 2-0, 4-1) over Philadelphia Flyers.
Washington Capitals has extended their lead in their division to 92 points, while NY Islanders sits 15 points back.
The hosting team took the lead, with a goal scored by Alex Ovechkin. Conor Sheary and Evgeny Kuznetsov assisted.
Late in the period in the first period James van Riemsdyk found his mark, and narrowed the gap for the Flyers.
The Capitals also increased the lead to 3-1 late into the period, after a Martin Fehervary goal assisted by Nic Dowd and Garnet Hathaway.
The Capitals were strong in the second, receiving goals from Lars Eller and Conor Sheary. Washington Capitals were still far from satisfied.
In the third, Matt Irwin scored in the fourth minute of the third period, assisted by Justin Schultz and Johan Larsson, increasing the lead for the Capitals.
In the third period, Lars Eller scored his second goal in the seventh minute of the period, assisted by Anthony Mantha and Trevor van Riemsdyk, increasing the lead for the Capitals.
In the third, Garnet Hathaway scored a goal 13 minutes into the period, assisted by Justin Schultz and Matt Irwin, increasing the lead for the Capitals.
In the third period, James van Riemsdyk scored his second goal with 3 minutes remaining, assisted by Kevin Hayes and Bobby Brink, closing the gap for the Flyers.
In the end, with 2 minutes remaining, Johan Larsson scored a goal, assisted by Justin Schultz and Nic Dowd.
Washington Capitals improves to 41–22–10, while Philadelphia Flyers drops to 23–39–11.
Philadelphia Flyers is now last in the table, while Washington Capitals is in fourth place.
Flyers play against the New York Rangers on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 p.m. Capitals will face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m.
