Breaking down the biggest names in the men's college hockey transfer portal so far

The NCAA hockey transfer portal opened on Monday, and players poured into it.

Whether it was because they needed a change of scenery, wanted to take a step in their development, or (unfortunately) their programs were shut down, about 300 players were in the portal at some point this week. That's nearly one in every five Div. 1 players, not counting the many who went pro or graduated in recent weeks.

As you can imagine, connections were made quickly, with many of the top talents announcing their commitments within just a day or two.
