NCAA Notebook: A massive series, injuries, and adjusting to the college game

We're getting into it now.

Non-conference play rolls on this weekend, and if you don't think the season has gone according to plan for a lot of teams, you're hardly alone.

In this week's national poll, six different teams got first-place votes, and one team that didn't is still firmly established in the top 5 in the country. We found a lot more unanimity in the EP NCAA Power Rankings, but even then, it was hard to nail down a consensus top-3 or 4.

That said, almost every team in the EP Top 20 is in action for at least one game this weekend, and the only team that isn't (Cornell) still has an exhibition.
